These two are some of the sweetest people I have ever met and make such a perfect pair. They have been so much fun to get to know from the time I met them and their families for our consultation, to photographing their engagement session at Bold Bean Coffee Roasters and all the way through their wedding day.
When I asked Lindsay what her favorite wedding day memory was this is what she told me:
“My absolute favorite wedding day memory was walking up to Eric for our first look. I saw him standing there, facing away from me, and at that very moment I began to choke up. I gently rubbed his back and asked if he was excited, then turned him around, wrapped my arms around his shoulders and sobbed. I will never forget that moment.”
This is exactly the reason why I encourage all my brides and grooms to do a first look. Some may think it takes away from the emotion from seeing each other at the ceremony but that is not the case at all. If anything I think it makes it even more emotional…just check out the photos of Lindsay walking down the aisle seeing Eric waiting for her. When I saw her getting choked up as her parents walked her down the aisle, I started getting choked up too.
The couple’s wedding favors was their DIY detail that was really special. The mini loaf cakes were made by Lindsay using her deceased grandmother’s recipe. It was their way of honoring her and creating something unique for all their guests to enjoy.
